  • I know Canadians who believe they have great care, for a cold or to be stitched up. They also say those who can afford it are buying private coverage on top of universal coverage because the waits time to schedule procedures are horrendous.

  • Flash, I am a Canadain who has lived in the UK and in the US, in the UK the tax rates are high but thats mostly property tax, not income tax, in Canada I pay less in taxes then I did in insurance payments for my family, and that does not include the deductables I was required to pay.

  • I have live in the UK, US and was born and raised and currently reside in Canada.   There is truth to the fact that people in the UK pay outragious taxes, primarly property taxes.
